LIFE AND DEATH
Last November, 73-year-old Douglas Hillock of Belle River, Ont.,
was diagnosed with lung cancer. He could have gone into a long-term palliative-care hospital,
but instead decided to die at home. Globe and Mail photographer Fred Lum visited him recently.
